Straight Outta' Texas this Kid Definitely Ain't No Cowboy!
Meet Matt Crouch...
Brian Elliott, PMB: Matt, tell us a little about yourself and your racing career. How did you get started racing?
Matt: I started riding when I was 3, but never really raced until I was about 7 or 8. After that, we were gone every weekend somewhere in Texas racing, and now we are traveling the country. It's pretty crazy, I never thought I would be doing this at all.
B.E.: What are your short-term and long-term goals in racing?
Matt: My short term goals are to go out every weekend and give it 150 % no matter what happens. Long term, of course I want to get picked up by a factory team, but more than that I want championships.
B.E.: What is the coolest thing about racing dirt bikes?
Matt: It's just so fun, all of my friends that don't ride think that i'm crazy for traveling all over the country just to race. Until you really experience it, you don't know how much fun it is.
B.E.: What is something people likely don't know about you?
Matt: When I was like 12 years old, I was riding at a motor cross track and I came up really short on a double and landed on my face. I broke my wrist and the bottom half of my two front teeth, so now the bottoms of my teeth are fake.
B.E.: What are you most proud of?
Matt: My championship in the TORO Series in 2006.
B.E.: Tell us about your coolest road trip experience.
Matt: Last year my family and Chris Bach took a trip to Canada while we were heading to New York for the GNCC. It was so sweet, we went and rode down in the rapids of Niagra Falls. That was probably one of the coolest things I have ever done.
B.E.: What is your favorite Fastway or Pro Moto Billet product?
Matt: The F.I.T. system handgaurds. You can hit anything and they won't budge. I have hit big trees numerous times, but I have never messed one of the handgaurds up.
B.E.: Last words or anything else you would like to say:
Matt: I would just like to thank all my sponsors for the support they give me. If it wasn't for them, I probably wouldn't be going and doing everything that I am right now.
B.E.: Thanks Matt, You're gonna do great things this year bro!
